Hey
SHE WILL GET HER SSI, THEY CAN'T TURN HER DOWN. I'VE BEEN TRYING FOR 4YRS AND I STILL HAVEN'T GOT MINE YET. I HAVE HYDROCEPHALUS THEY PUT A VP SHUNT IN MY HEAD. AND I'M STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY HEAD. SEE I'M 30YRS OLD WITH A VP SHUNT. I WENT TO COURT FOR MINE WITH A LAWYER. AND THEY STILL DENIED ME OF MY SSI. BECAUSE THE JUDGE WAS COUGHING ALL THROUGH THE CASE. AND DR. KENTON DID TURN ALL MY PAPERS IN. SO I APPEAL MY CASE. I PRAYING THAT YOUR LITTLE GIRL GET HER SSI.:grouphug:

Get an attorney
SSI seems to be a joke. People who really need it are turned down routinely. Get yourself an attorney who specializes ii SSI cases. You only pay them if, and when, you win your case. If you lose, and I hope you do not, they cannot charge you a fee.
I just learned about this. I did not pursue my own case at the time, and I was very sick. Since they turned me down I have gotten better but I was too demented to pursue it at the time. Search the web, I'm sure you will find help. God Bless |
born with hydro and qualify for ssdi
If you can prove by the state that you child has a disability like hydro, as I have as as a 40 year-old adult, SSI payments or SSDI payments should be possible through your local SSA office.

Hello, I had twins (1 boy & 1 girl) back in August. I was only 5 months preg. and they were born, boy weighing 1lb 15oz & girl weighing 1lb 9oz. They both had inner cranial brain bleeds, my son had a grade 3 bleed and my daughter had a grade 3 on the left side and grade 4 on the right. My son is fine and the problem resolved on it own, however my daughter spent 5 months in the NICU and had 2 shunt surgeries, they first put in a subgalial shunt because she wasn't big enough for the VP shunt. In November the put in the VP shunt. I applied for SSI when they were about 1mo. old and they both got approved for it. I think they may discontinue my son's, but they told me my daughter would prob get hers for a while. Just to let you know she's doing GREAT, growing and developing well. We do recieve early intervention for the both of them because of their prematurity. If u need help just write back. |
