How the trip has gone so far

the elevation at this time doesn't seem to
bother my lungs, tho the airplane did.. I was sleeping and woke up gasping for air.

When skiing I only get tired when I have to use my
arm muscles to push with the poles or if I'm walking and carrying my stuff.

I know many of you were very concerned about me skiing. Yet I'm actually doing quite well. I've gone the past two days, doing some hard trails, and jumps and my breathhing is still good. The only
thing that has happened is my right arm gets very weak. And a little dizzy sometimes. Yet I'm
ok.

I need lots of sleep but, I love skiing.

I went to my primary doc about the headaches, and she now has me on amitriptyline hcl 25 mg before sleeping
It makes me very drowsy. She said it used to be a treatment for depression. Now in small doses to prevent headaches. But the headaches are much less frequent and not as bad.

Hope you all are doing well.

Hi Tyson,

I'm really pleased you are having a good time.

I don't want to be a party pooper but your headaches could be related to CO2 retention. This is one of the symptoms.

I used to suffer with headaches all the time when I was working, I think it was stress and the artificial light. Since I left work I rarely get them. However if I do get them now 9 times out of 10 its C02 retention. When I use Oxygen they go away without having to resort to painkillers.

It may just be something to keep in mind.

Have fun

Love
Rach

Tyson,

I really am happy that you are doing so well!!

Have tons of fun - - and try to get plenty of rest (which may need to be increased with each passing day). Remember to save some 'gas in the tank' for the flight home!!
