Jimmie Heuga died :(

He was a great guy, an Olympic skier, and a dynamic MS advocate. His Can Do program was fantastic and I had the privilege of participating in it many years ago.

He was such a nice guy and had the most amazing determination. :(

It was at his one-week seminar that my AMN nickname was born. Our T-shirts said "Can Do!" on the back and I had said to my teammates, "Yeah, I can do anything after my nap!" It just stuck as my team began using it to reference me. LOL, it was a lot of fun.

Does anyone know any of the details such as how old he was and was his death MS related? I remember him skiing in the Olympics -- you never know. Prayers for his family and friends.

It was pneumonia (surprise ), and he was 66.

The article my friend sent me said that he died on the anniversary of his receiving an Olympic medal.

Here's a pretty good summary from the NY Times:
