Jimmie Heuga died :(
He was a great guy, an Olympic skier, and a dynamic MS advocate. His Can Do program was fantastic and I had the privilege of participating in it many years ago.
He was such a nice guy and had the most amazing determination. :( It was at his one-week seminar that my AMN nickname was born. Our T-shirts said "Can Do!" on the back and I had said to my teammates, "Yeah, I can do anything after my nap!" It just stuck as my team began using it to reference me. LOL, it was a lot of fun. |
I'm not familiar w/him, but I do remember your telling me that story. Sending prayers to his family.

Does anyone know any of the details such as how old he was and was his death MS related? I remember him skiing in the Olympics -- you never know. Prayers for his family and friends.

The article my friend sent me said that he died on the anniversary of his receiving an Olympic medal. Here's a pretty good summary from the NY Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/12/sp...g/12heuga.html |
