Hello

I am a 32 yr old stay at home mom & wife. My husband is Submariner, and gone more then he is home, and I have been diagonsed with Thoracic outlet syndrome and a dynamic impingement.

For the past year I have pretty much dealt with the pain without pain medications. I was in phycial therapy from July last year to Oct, but lost 20% range of motion for my right arm, and was put on hold for Physical therapy.
After lots of tests and lots of Dr.s and a Scalen muscle block, I now have a surgery date. But I am nervous about it, and what to expect for recovery. That is why I am here. To learn as much as I can. To have an Idea of what to expect, fully knowing that no two surgeries are the same, nor are the recoveries.

Welcome to NT

I have TOS, as do many others here. There is a wide range of complaints, symptoms and diagnoses and treatments.

You are well advised to ask lots of questions.

Here is the TOS forum:

You will get to know many who have had the surgery. I have not. I will defer to their posts to guide you with what they think you should be aware of through their experiences.

I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. It isn't easy, either way you. Be careful and informed. God bless...
