Neurological - Brain Stem Stroke?

I suffered a bout of vertigo in July 2009. I was hospitalized. All tests - Including Carotid dopper. heart and kidney scans - blood tests were done all appeared quite normal. Then a complete MRI was performed. The result of the MRI is:
*editing out personal information*
MRI SCAN OF THE BRAIN

Axial TIW, T2W and FLAIR images T2W sagittal, and T2W coronal was performed. MRA was
performed
The cerebellum and the cerebral hemispheres show normal signal intensity in all pulse sequences.
No abnormal areas of altered signal intensity noted. Normal MR morphology is demostrated
No midline shift or mass effect. No evidence of cerebral oedema.
There are no abnormal signal intensity areas to suggest a mass lesion, Infarcts, Haemorrhages or
a vascular malformation.
The ventricular system, the basal cisterns, the subarachnoid spaces and the cerebellarfovea and
the cortical suld are normal for the age of the patient and show normal CSF characteristics in all

pulse sequences.
Corpus callosum,, Pituitary gland, optic nerves and optic chiasm appear normal .
Both acoustic nerves appear normal. Both auditory nerves and the CP angles are normal.
There are no developmental anomalies of sulcation or migration.
There is no Cranio vertebral anomaly or tonsillar herniation.
Both Maxillary antra are normal.
MRA

Intracranial arteries and dural sinuses show normal flow and are in normal caliber. No narrowed

segments or segments of signal drop noted
There are no aneurysm, vascular malformation or thrombosis of dural venous
COMMENT: Early cerebellar degeneration is a possibility No focal lesions seen

My condition for the past 7 months is that my left side - Exactly half the side has some numbness. The numbness is more towards the feet. I do not feel Heat or Cold. When I keep something hot or cold, I feel only pain. Then there is a heat sensation from within on the left side which is causing quite a discomfort.
Other than that, I am quite normal. I am attending to my normal household chores and I am quite strong with nary a weakness anywhere in the system or body.
I am also hypertensive. I take the following drugs on a daily basis.
1. Herbesser - Diltiazem Hydrochloride capsules 230 Mg.
2. Tenolol - Atenolon - 50 Mg.
3. Noklot - 75 Mg.
4. Atorva - 5 Mg.
5. Neurosanbe (Vitamin B12, 1 & 3).
No other treatment is given.
How can my hot and cold sensation be restored and get rid of the numbness on the left side?
Anybody who can Help

Are you seeing a neuro for this condition,, I am in pretty much the same boat, hot or cold feels like pain, it will shi\ft from right to left side,, You may have a sensorty neuropathy, talk to a neuro about the results of your MRI,, and demand further testing

Thank you dear friend for the response. I am consulting a neurophysician. I see him every Month. After thorough examination he is of the opinion that the damaged area in the brain stem should automatically repair itself. He says that my cure could be quite sudden or it may even prolong and hence he has given me "neuro-vitamins".
Reiterating my deepest thanks and appreciation -
