"We" are having a sliding party/end-of-winter (ha) get-together at church today from 10-2, cooking hot dogs and 'smores, playing games, and what have you.

After that, at 2:00, is the church board meeting.

Now that makes sense, because the board members (many of whom don't live right here in town) won't have to make two trips on two different days.

For moi, however, it means choosing. No way in Hoboken can I do both in one day. No, I wasn't going to slide, but would have gone over and hung out with the munchers and game-players, have a little fellowship.

Rats. You'd think they would have built the whole yearly calendar around ME!!!

Just kidding. :D Life is full of choices, and it is what it is. Thank you for listening, I'll go have chocolate now.

Maybe just show up around 1:30 PM so you can get in on the tail end of the festivities. Then you can stay for the meeting. Would that work?

I know how you feel, B2Y. I hate having to choose. I can remember when I'd leave the house before 9 AM and not return till after 9 PM. Could I do that now? Ummmm........no way. :(

That's a good idea, maybe I will do that. Maybe they'll save me some 'smores! :D

You know, sometimes it's confusing how much of this stuff is because I have MS and how much is because I'm going to be si...si...six...sixt......:thud:

My daughter always freaked out when she would get two birthday party invites for the same day/time..."Why can't one of them change the date? I want to go to both!"
It took a reaaallly long time to get her to accept that the world does NOT revolve around her...

It's hard to know what to blame on the MS and what to blame on just plain old bein' tired! It's easier to blame it on the MS.....so I'll continue to do that. It was never invited so if it wants to hang around it's going to pay the price! :cool:

I will go to the first half, eat all the goodies, do all the social work, write up a report and hand it off to you at 2, ok? oh, wait! that means no smores for you! I guess I can eat enough for both of us. :D

I hate this stupid disease. I have to chose between a movie, and a dinner out. A long car ride to get to an event, means I cant enjoy the actual event we traveled for! :mad:

BTW, I've been to Hoboken. Don't recommend it. (though you can get a Cuban sandwich there.)

You know, I KNEW when I typed "Hoboken" there would be somebody...I usually say "Hardwick", but nobody outside of northern Vermont has ever heard of it.:D
