Hummingbird Feeding Time?

When do Hummingbirds start to show up? Is it the beginning of Spring?

I got a feeder last year and was told it was the end of their "season". I'm wondering when I should put my feeder up.

Thanks!

Where you are they probably stay? I have read that some stay in Florida.

I used this for my area last year and it was pretty accurate:

.

Mine usually come when the Mertensia (Virginia bluebells) are blooming.

They eat mostly bugs you know, the feeders are just for quick refueling etc. When nesting bugs provide the protein for the chicks.

Are you watching Phoebe?

.

She is sitting on two new eggs, after the last nest failed.

Thanks for the info!

According to the schedule in the link right now would probably be a good time to put it up.

The Hummingbird Cam is amazing! I saw Phoebe sitting on her nest. So cute! :)
