Anodyne therapy & CRPS
I'm interested in the possibility of using anodyne therapy for pain management. I have CRPS and peripheral neuropathy (due to trauma). I've seen research, albeit dated, that indicates some success with peripheral neuropathy, but I'm not certain whether my ultra-sensitive areas of CRPS could even handle it or whether the pain would just be too much.
Has anyone tried it? What did you think? |
Hi Peppermint patty
I just read about it on line,,Good luck to you with this and keep us posted,,I read where you can buy your own home personal unit, in 3 different types,,, I recently have been getting relief from the " Magnesium Sulfate Cream { from Kirkman} MRSD gave me the idea,,My wife ordered 2 jars off line,,I applied it directly to the affected nerve in my heel and within 2 days ,my skin color has came back to normal,it took the mottling and and gave me pain relief,,MRSD says she has a link about the cream,,nice buy,,the only topical that has worked for me,,,,,,She also told me that the oral magnesium with oxide that I was taking from walmart was worthless,,she recommended of " Slow Mag " mag with Cholide and calcium,,,Looks like any manesium treatment is good,,really helps with my vasamotors{circulation and spider and varicose veins},,,, |
I don't have RSD/CRPS , but I've had treatment with an infrared product, LED & also a Low level laser{LLLT}.
- for my muscle pain the low level laser was much more efficient - faster & worked better for pain relief. I use an infrared heating pad at home. If you can get a short test session with one or both to see if either type works for you I would give it a try. neither type should put out very much heat at all. you should be able to ask that they don't push or apply any pressure to your skin if it is very sensitive, it doesn't have to touch you to work. they should be able to hold it close but not touching you for the treatment. LLLT would only take about 20-30 sec for a area, while infrared or LED light would take 10-20 minutes + per area. {approx. avg times for muscle pain} |
