Hopkin's study on...me!
 

Hi everyone!

I went to John's Hopkins yesterday. Want to give me a SCS, which is great! They also want to do a trial on me. I am to be monitored for my experience and evaluated with my progress. Does anyone have experience with this?

I'm thrilled to hear of how well you've been treated by the medical personnel. It's always SO good to hear positive things like this!
I share in your excitement and will be praying for you every step of the way.
It's a scary issue to have to weigh and I only wish that the success stories would speak up more, but it seems we only hear of the failed trials. I know there are alot of folks lives who have been changed tremendously for the better, but it seems perhaps that they no longer feel the need to be on a pain forum and they go on and live their lives.
Seek these people out the best you can! Go to the website of the company providing this unit and ask to speak to the patient advocates. You'll hear both sides of the experiences.

Ask alot of Q's regarding the possibility of a spread and make sure they've got you covered should something go wrong.
This is your body, your life.

I know you are in good hands. Take the trial very very seriously B4 doing anything permanent.
