Hello all.

Just joined here yesterday after being pointed in this direction by member kkdaniel. :)

I am looking to get information and ideas about neuropathy as I have degeneration of the Ulnar nerve in my left hand. It doesn't cause me pain, just the pinky and ring finger are now unable to straighten :(

The hand specialist says is it irreversible even after surgery (hopefully some time this month), but I am not quite ready to throw the towel in just yet as I can still move every part of the hand so the connections are still there, just a little weak.

Anyway, enough of my sob story... see you all around the forum.

Robin. :D

Hi Robin:

Welcome to our wonderful online website. I can only tell you about my experience with Methyl B-12. I have diabetic neuropathy in my feet. Or should I say "I HAD IT". I've been on Methyl B-12 for 2 years.

I take Jarrows formula. I started with 1000 each morning sublingually, and I knew I needed more, so I went to 5000. Just recently I went to 1000 and after 3 weeks, my energy level went way down so I upped it to 3000 each morning.

Now why am I telling you about this when you have a problem in your wrist? You have neuropathy. So I advocate Methyl B-12 because it helps damaged nerves. Takes a bit of time, but it does work.

Look it up on this forum. Just do a search on B-12 and you'll read all the postings and you'll see how many of us are helped.

Do you do any physical therapy on your hands and wrist? I had Carpal Tunnel YEARS ago. Once in a great while, (when the weather goes dramatic), I get a sharp pain in my wrist. But then it subsides.

Other than that, I can use my hands.

So I do welcome you here and please do look up the benefits of Methyl B-12. You have nothing to lose, you might even find that it just might possibly help you, and, oh, one more thing, don't expect any doctor to tell you "Oh B-12 will cure you, help you, WHATEVER!!

Doctos practice medicine. They DO NOT practice nutritional supplementation, healthy lifestyle and eating. Many doctors (not mine, thank god), think that if they give you a pain pill, you're ails will be gone.

Sometimes it works, sometimes not. In my opinion, we have to do everything we can to heal ourselves and our bodies before we start putting strange meds into it.

Not saying that meds are not necessary. Of course they are. I'm a diabetic and I take Lantus. I just take MUCH less since I developed my lifestyle change.

so you take care and read up on what we do here on Neurotalks.

Some others will come along and give you their points of view.

Melody
P.S. DON'T THROW IN ANY TOWEL JUST YET.
