Is the valve and the pump always together?
 

Is it due to some sort of "constipaation problems"?(When this happens, that is NEVER the case.) I have a theory it's the valve that is if the valve and the pump are automatically connected.

The lasting (after the relief) feeling has me wondering.

Any suggestions?

Unless we're talking about some sort of shunt I haven't heard of, the valve is the pump, and vice-versa.

Maybe she is thinking of the resivor? New shunts have them then the valve a few inches away. Or sometimes like with George there is a piece at the distal end that keeps it from back flowing...hmmm

I can't even beging to word this... sorry about the first post. It sounded bad.
 

Anyway. back in 1993. I had my first total shunt revision (everything) the whole kit-n-kaboodle.

At my first pos-op appointment (something like that) my Doctor said something about putting the actual pump into my abdomen cavity (or somewhere near it.)

My question is does the pump stay one one part of the shunt no matter if it's upside down (like mine) or right side up.)

If this is the case, I might have figured out a nusance problem that I disreguard as being very active with my dog . (She loves to play a lot.)
