Now to restore toolbars on top of page in IE

Hi All

A friend had his toobars at the top of the page disappear.

He has windows xp and Internet explorer.

We tried system restore (actually, I tried) and it said "System Restore incomplete" I tried again. IT WOULD NOT LET ME DO SYSTEM RESTORE

I have done this on my computer so I know how to do system restore.

So isn't there a way to access SOMETHING on the top of the page that will restore all toolbars.

Presently, on the top of the page, you see GOOGLE, then when you put the mouse on the top, THEN THE URL LINE comes up.

So help, please.

Thanks, Melody

I think it is F11 to restore the tool bar.

It is one of the F keys anyway. Often a misstype removes it, and you hit F11 to restore.

When my cat walks across my keyboard she steps on the keys and I lose my tool bar often.

Thanks very much. Didn't know about the F11 key.

However, I DID correct the problem. It was at my friend around the corner. I went there and I KNEW there was a simple way to do this but I have Firefox and I don't use IE, so I knew to come here and ask that question.

BUT!!!

I then went a few blocks to my friend at the computer store, told him what happened, he said:

"Oh, just put your mouse over the URL line, right click, and hit restore.

I then went back to my friend's house and sat down and did so

VOILA!!! All toolbars are restored.

But if the F11 thing does it, that makes it even simpler.

So thanks much for the cool tip

P.S. Mrs. D. I have a question about the new 3D tv that is being sold soon.

How on earth does a 3D tv work? Do you need the glasses. What if a program (like the soaps), are NOT shown in 3D?

See, I have questions, questions, questions, NOT THAT I'M GOING OUT AND BUY A 3D TV SOON. I don't even have HD or a HD cable box. I'm happy with what I have. I JUST WANT TO LEARN (Just in case I win the lotto).

Thanks much

Melody
