Chapters in the journey of life / offer to Colleen1

What we experience in life makes us who we are.
We are a collection of events, decisions, events, knowledge, experiences.

As we travel thru our life, some chapters of it are more pleasent then others. It is tramatic and stressful events that alter our outlook and changes us forever. The event itself is important, but how we handle it also affects us.

"I wonder if GAngel understands that the Colleen she knew is forever changed....
I wonder if GAngel has ever lost a loved one to suicide....I hope not!!" Alffe

Then there are some people that inspire us. Thank you Alffe!

Then there is a time to seek professional help. We may be human, we may try hard and think we are strong, but need the assistance of a person who has studied people....and the things we do.

COLLEEN, if you need professional help (your kids too) please let me know.
I can help you find a place and cover the cost of a professional. To suffer one tramatic event is enough, but to go thru 5 or more is extreme! No one should have to suffer like you have and it is obvious you are in pain. There is no "magic pill or words" but a professional can give you the tools to cope with what you are going thru. Remember I am still here for a reason and because I found a good professional. It is OK to ask for help. I only extend this offer as I am truly concerned for good reason. Will I hear from you?

Ok, now I will get off my little soap box.

What chapter in your life has changed you forever??

I wonder where Colleen is and if everything is ok?

Oops... this isn't the wonder thread!

GAngel>> :Thanx: :Good-Post:

So many chapters of my life are in that list... each one has given me an opportunity to grow (change!) forever. With each chapter we can only hope to gain perseverance once again. Definitely challenging.

I don't know why your daughter feels the way she does, but the best way to help her is to keep her in therapy. The therapist is there to find out how she's feeling, and then he can help her work through it.

I'm sorry once again about all of your troubles, keep talking to us, and to your daughter, and to the therapist, and together we'll find a way through this.
