It's starting again

Today when I was in Patricks this regular in there whom I've known since 1990 asked me if I could give him a ride home. I told him yea. I told two of Cocky's friends in there that I was going to take Roger home. One of the men said he saw Cocky in Patricks yesterday. I said, that's funny, he didn't mention that. And the 2nd friend of Cocky's said it was probably because he didn't think it was none of my business. I see it already starting with friends and acquaintences of mine and Cocky's starting stuff. Roger, the guy I gave a ride home to said that Provo looked at him like Roger was going to get lucky with me. I had gotten so nervous and upset after going through that crap with Bobby and the people in there starting stuff that I misplaced my keys and later left them in my front door and closed the door! I'm going to call Cocky a little past 5:30 p.m. today and tell him what went on cause he'll likely go into Patricks after work and his 2 friends will make something out of me giving Roger a ride home.

Barb

For sure call Cocky. Also make sure you let him know this happens
everytime you date someone that is a regular in there. So he is aware.

I would then just also let him know that you don't really plan to change
the plans of being a good friend and citizen in some cases to others.

Because of bad cases like those that were mean.

Good point Donna. After talking to a friend today I calmed down and felt better about the Patricks incident. I think that I over acted in thinking that stuff would start like it did in Hanks and if it does this time I doubt it will affect Cocky negetively. And I really don't plan on not being a good citizen by giving a drunk friend a ride like you said I shouldn't. The place that all that happened was a different place then what went on with Bobby. This time it's just guys instead of women.

Dear Befuddled,

I have noticed that men tend to have different group rules than women do.
Also, sometimes men are easier to deal with because they tend to say what then mean.

So true Mari. When I spoke with Cocky last night I told him about me giving the guy a ride home. Cocky didn't seem to have a problem with it. I really didn't think he would get jealous but I didn't trust the men to not put more into the incident than it really was.
