OK all you northerners... Your birds are headed home. A lot of Cardinals the last week. Blue things, green things, red things, etc. Lots of bird poop, chirping, chowing down on worms and grass seed, etc. Just a neat time of year.

Weather in Houston - 75 day sunny/55 night clear. There are times of year in Houston we really enjoy...

We're going to the Rodeo Thursday. Got tickets right above the bull riding chute. Get to see Black Eyed Peas concert after the rodeo - I guess Fergie is cute... The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is I guess the largest event like this in the world. I just love the party atmosphere. It's become the norm after 10 years in Houston.

The Gulf of Mexico is still miserable. Sorry - we spent 10 years in south Florida. Nothing compares...

I'm one of the mission managers for the next shuttle mission STS-131, shuttle scheduled to take off 4/5/10. There's a glitch with a helium fill valve - we'll get it fixed or delay launch.

Going to southern Utah in June - hitting all the national parks, to include the North rim of the Grand Canyon. Let's see... Arches, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Glen Canyon, etc national parks and other area things.

Filled out my census thing today. Wondering why I can't put more than 12 entities down as residents. Had to leave 27 squirrels, 7 deer, 3 armadillos, and 4 oppossum off the census form... Bummer...

Have a nice day!

Tom

Love hearing those birds singing in the morning! Can't wait until they all return.

Cool, lookin' good down yonder in Houston. Still a bit snappy here in MI, but we are expecting all sun all week here on the west coast. The bird & critter cacophony is picking up its pace around here, too. I've been watching a couple robins building their nests, the does are showing their burden of spring fawns, and the creek is swollen with the cleansing rains.

The last remnants of plow piles melted off today and the 55° temp is practically balmy to this weary old soul.

I'm profoundly jealous of your upcoming adventures, Tom! I want to go back down to the Grand Canyon one of these days.

I won't be directing any shuttle launches in the foreseeable future, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express a few nights ago.
