Recharging ? for Medtronics SCS

I have an Medtronics rechargeable SCS. It is in need of a charge. My battery has torn stiches on the inside. I was wondering if anyone has ever charged it with a lidoderm patch over the battery. I need it charged but it is too sore to put the charging belt on it. I thought maybe with the patch the pain would be manageable to charge it. Any thoughts? I posted this on the SCS forum too! Thanks!

if you can get a signal thru the patch then its probably ok, but i am just guessing here. i have advanced biotics scs so i dont know how medtronics recharges.

I have Medtronic SCS and have charged with pain patch on. Do not let your battery go dead. Also you do not need to wear the belt if your are not mobile-So get a good book or movie and go for it.Fondly-Carol

Thanks so much! Since it has got to the last quarter of battery life I have not used it. I didn't know if total drainage would kill it. I need to try and get my rep and doc together so we can decide what to do about surgery. I just can't keep waiting. I need it charged. There is no use in having it if I can't use it. Well off to charge and watch some TV.
