Change of Season Flare Anyone??
 

Okay, I'm trying to remember that this happens at every season change, especially winter to spring, but when I hurt so bad, feel like sleeping twenty hours a day, feels like steel rods are up my pantlegs.....on and on.....I tend to forget that "this too shall pass". I'm debating doing the steroid pills (Decadron), but they usually make me feel worse.

With all this beautiful weather we've been having, I should feel great.......but NO, no such luck. Now the rain showers are coming back into the picture to make things worse. Does this sound familiar to anyone???

Yes, Judy, unfortunately it's just a fact of life for me now, too. I can tell when it's going to rain, when it's getting cooler, warmer, the barometric pressure rises or falls, etc. etc. etc..

I look forward to the season changes but I dread them at the same time. :rolleyes:

My allergies act up so badly as Spring approaches that it sort of takes my mind off the spasticity and the aches and pains that go along with it! Some trade off, huh? :rolleyes:

I know it will pass and I keep a container of Aleve handy at all times. That stuff helps me more than any prescription drug I've tried. and I just have to take it once in the morning and it lasts all day.

I hope you feel better. Hopefully Spring is here to stay now so the weather can calm down for a while.

My body HATES the change of season. The barimetric pressure changes, and it takes time to adjust. Even if its a change for the good. I take time to regain my balance.

Yep, a barometer walking...that's me. I have actually had a change for the better, this past week, but when the rains come, I will turn into a WET LOG, again.

Yes, this seems to happen to me too. Especially when it's such a drastic change in weather as has been the case here in PA lately. Three weeks ago it was in the teens at night and mid- thirties during the days. The past 5 or so days though, it's been about 50 at night and up to 75 degrees during the day. Now starting tonight and into Tuesday it's supposed to get close to 20 degrees cooler and rain. My body has definitely been effected by it since I've been in a flare for the past few weeks and was on IV Solumedrol last week x 5 days and am currently doing the tapering down doses of Prednisone. You are not alone! :hug:

Thanks guys! As always, it's good knowing I'm not alone, but I hate it that we all have to live like this! You're right Kitty, Aleve is my "best friend" too. I take two in the morning and it helps better than any prescription I've ever tried. The pain is still there, but tolerable, sort of! Maybe we should all move somewhere where the weather stays about the same year round.......after this year I'm not sure where that might be!

Rain tomorrow and cooler........OWIE, OUCH, AND CARP!!!!! :(

Well.......now comes the weird part of MS. The pain has been horrible for days, but as soon as the actual rain got here yesterday, I felt much better. It definitely has something to do with the barometer since it's while the weather is in flux that the pain is horrible. Hope you're all feeling a little better!! Thank God for small blessings!! :) :) :)

Yep, I feel a bit funny right now and the weather has been getting warmer! I was doing pretty good and starting to get some confidence back and then WHOMP.....back to the ickies. Big Sigh
