bizi's calorie counting again.....

HI
I have been away for a while and need to get back to being serious about my dieting. I starting dieting on 3-11-10 (this time).
I am calorie counting.
Anyone else counting calories?
Share any good recipes...it is hard to cook healthy meals for just 2 people. We use to eat so much meat before, 4oz is gonna be hard getting used to.

Can't help you Bizi with the calorie counting. We are doing the carbo diet again....got to love those Pork Rinds. :D

As your Dad would say..."The journey of a thousand miles......" *grin

WE had company in town last night (oysters and crawfish boil corn potatoes) ....I just thru out the rest of the mudslides...
who knew that 1 oz had 70 calories!!!!!!!
I drank it like chocolate milk last night.
and this morning.
breakfast was:
2 Fried eggs
4 slices of bacon
coffee with vanilla creamer
belgium waffle with extra butter and syrup
1,000 calories.....
Lets just say that I am having cooked spinach and salad for dinner tonight.
tomorrow I will be good!

Good luck with your diet mom!
WE have discovered how good greens are, mustard, collard, turnip all just steamed with out any toppings...so good for you and lots of fiber to off set the carbs. We just use a little seasoning salt.

p.s. I have to remember that one pound is equal to 3,500 calories.
That is alot of extra food to eat so I am fine and won't beat myself up over this!

It's so hard to diet with company coming unless they are also dieting. This was the case recently with G & her family.

Breakfast today was Bacon, eggbeaters and Mr.Alffe had an english muffin.

Lunch was Salmon Cakes, two each and green beans. Mr.Alffe had a salad wedge too with blue cheese dressing. (your favorite..*grin)

Afternoon snack: 1 cup chicken bouillon, celery stuffed with cheese, and three deviled egg halves ...each

Dinner tonight will be Chicken Breasts coated with mayo, parmesan cheese, rolled in ground up pork rinds..and baked. Also steamed broccoli.

*whisper...don't ask me what Cassie had today!

Your dinner sounds very good.
Do you like any those greens?
you know that brocolli is the best food for us! full of anti aging stuff.

I am very stiff from exercising yesterday!!!!

I've never had mustard, collard, turnip greens in my life but we are eating lots of baby spinich, various lettuce and broccoli. Ever had that real leafy lettuce, spread with hummus and rolled up tight?? Makes a great snack.
Got in the hot tub last night...need to get on the treadmill today.

Having coffee right now sweetened with Splenda....:p

bizi I'm a calorie counter. It's the only way I've been able to loose weight. But this time around I'm doing fats and carbs as well. I'd like to say that I hit a plateau but I've been eating a few too many no-no's lately and need to get back on track. Luckily I didn't regain any of what I lost! I really don't have any recipes to share but I hear you on trying to make a meal for 2 people. When my husband isn't home I always make a regular meal for me and my daughter. Best of luck!!

Alffe 03-30-2010 09:38 AM

I hate those plateau's! Been stuck on one for over three weeks now! ~sigh

Breakfast 2 pieces bacon, 1/4th jar herring in cream sauce, and 4 ibuprofins

Waves at Karousel....
