Grand kids coming!!!!!!

Our daughters spring break is this coming week. So my husband comes up with this idea that we need to take the girls for the week. Says it would save a full week of day care for 2 little girls. Yes he is right. But we have never done it. When it was just the one we id it a couple of times a year but her 3 year old little sister is a pistol! In a good way. She is just full of life. Her 8 year old big sister would be content in reading a book all day or planting flowers. So since my hubby is retired now he wants the girls. I guess I forgot that little kids get up at 6:30! Well it's 7:30 in Ky so 6:30 here. So he will be getting up with them, fixing breakfast and then I'm sure he will be asleep in the recliner while they are playing around him! It will be a fun week!!!! I just hope his sister does well in ICU so we don't have to spend a lot of time there. I have a big toy bag and the hospital has free wifi so the laptop can help them. Plus we have DVDs that can go.

Have fun with those little girls, Doydie!

Good for you for making your DH get up early with them!

They are here. The closer to Evansville we got the louder they got! Typical. They were roudy getting to bed but they had never ever slept in the bed they are in. The oldest sleeps in a tent on the floor and the little one is in a toddler bed. So they arer sleeping in the bed their parents sleep in. It was my husbands idea that he get up early! I will get up early on the day we take them home.

Never again will I go to the Y with an 8 and 3 year old. The 8 year old can semi swim and is very proud of what she does and wants you to watch. The 3 year old has to be continually watched. Then my heavens, the locker room when you have to change! I like to change in the handiocap restroom where there is plenty of room and no one has to see my psoriasis. The 8 year old doesn't want anyone to see anything she doesn't have and the 3 year old wants to run around, push the towel bin and anything else she can get into! IF we go again it's the family dressing room for us and I hope I can convince my DH to go in the pool with me.

I admire all you who have young ones. Pitty you a bit also! These kids love to eat! A three year old has a lot of energy.

We had a good day today. We visited my sister, the one with al the foot and leg problems. She was a preschool teacher and my 3 year old grand daughter spent the whole time on her lap talking, drowing, etc. Then we wne to my Moms. Her and I had some legal bussiness we had to do so Grandpa took them to a nearby park and wore them out!!! At supper the little one fell asleep literally in her supper. Tomorrow we go to our childrens museum here. We have never been to it so we are all excited. I think it is small enough I won't need my wheel chair.

The cat finally came out of its hiding spot and sat on my lap after the girls were asleep so I think she has finally forgiven me. She hasn't totally accepted the girls yet but forgiven me.

Oh the joys! LOL I am going share a secret trick with you. My 5 yr old has too much energy sometimes (well, all of the time). I discovered I can program her fav singers into pandora radio and just turn it up really loud and she is enetertained and singing and dancing for hours! Then she is pooped!

I took my niece and nephew swimming once. I vowed never again! We had a blast, got them out and dressed, got myself dressed and was unpacking lunch when my 2 yr old nephew decided to jump back in the pool  Which meant me jumping in after him fully clothed because he couldn't swim. It was a very cold and soggy ride home. Now I vow to have one adult per kid with me when we go swimming.

We took the little ones, the ones with huge amount of energt, home on Thursday. I pretty much slept all day yesterday. I'm still tired today but am up and kicking. I don't know how young mothers do it! I didn't have the energy to take a bath, do any of my psoriasis skin care the whol;e time they were here. But I wouldn't trade the memoroes for anything. Would I do it again? Probably not. I had to put the 3 year old in time ut the last day. When she was let out she came over to me came over to me and told me that she forgived me!!!! Here are smoe pictures. I finally figured out how to make a nice album on Faced book. I don't think I have tried here.

Pic 1 the girls are sound asleep. I wasn't sure how they would do it. The 3 year old has never slept in a big bed, just her toddler bed or baby bed.
Pic 2 Little one went sound asleep at supper. But when her Grandpa picked her up 'cause she was falling out of her chair she found out there was more food to eat!
Pic 3 We wnt to our local Childrens Museum and big sister painted her facve. She was so proud of that we had quite a crisis when I told her she had to wash it off before she went to bed
Pic 4 Little one sitting on Great Grandmas lap. Mom has this singing angel that has wings that have the lights on them and it sings silent night. So Ellie is checking out whether or not angels wear underwear!
