Well, the Date was a Dud!

:( Well, the bowling date was a Dud I guess. After he came back from his business trip I got an email from the blind date and he decided we just weren't a good match.

That's O.K., I'm not dissapointed at all. I've still got Mr. High School Sweetheart! We are still communicating and he is coming to visit soon! :D

It was nice to be able to get out of the house and actually show myself that I "can" go on a date, and that I "can" still have fun! ;) You know, it's hard to remember we still can have fun when all we focus on is how to keep our feet from hurting!

Anyway, I'll keep you up to date on "Mr. High School Sweetheart" when he comes to visit. Poor guy, if he was shy around just me when I went to visit, he's "really" gonna feel it when he stays in my house full of girls! Me, my two very outspoken daughters, and my little granddaughter! I bet he won't say a word the first three days he's here! He will just sit and watch all the activity!

We call him "That 70's Guy" because he was just like the kid on the 70's show with the dad who was mean to all the neighborhood kids, "Red"... and he was the skinny kid who was shy and quiet.

Stay warm and cozy !

Terri

Well one good thing

You found this out about Mr. Dud before it went any further. I married my high school sweetheart years later after we had both been married and divorced and had kids - him three, me one. We have now been married for almost 21 years, so you never know.;)

Why would you want to go bowling with a blind date? Sure, you'd bowl better than him, but it would be too easy. Where's the fun in that?

Too funny David! Actually, even if he was blind, he still bowled better than me!

Don't worry hon. You're still a hot tomato.

The old sweetheart better be in shape. Give him a run for his money.

Exactly true, you're the hot tomato. We do not appreciate the good guys as much as we should if we never encounter the not so good guys. Been there, did that!

Dear Terri -

Mr. High school sweetheart sounds like a great guy. I hope you will realize that he still is.

I think that so often we pass up the good guys when we are very young, because we have not had enough experience to really appreciate them.

I can think of one I should have married, but alas, didn't.

Well, I was very young at the time and not ready for marriage to anyone. He of course went on to marry someone else and so did I, but he would have been the better husband for me! Hind sight is 20/20!

My first marriage ended in divorce, but I did get a beautiful daughter from it!

My second, and present, husband, is great.

If Any Guy....

doesn't like you 'Just the way YOU Are'...well, it's HIS loss!

You go out there and be the super-person you ARE! If another is soo shallow that they can't see true value in a human...well they are worse than trash in my book! In the meantime, you can DO more and BE more than you thought...HUH?

Knock 'em dead in their tracks Lady! - j
