Shooting pains causing legs to go crazy
I'm have 'little' shooting pains around my pelvic area. When it happens my legs does this kicking thing and I can't control it. It lasts for just a couple of seconds then goes back to normal.
Has anyone experienced this and if so, does it get even worse...what is possible in store for me? Thank you. |
Sometimes it's a pain and sometimes, just a tickle and up jump my legs to do their little dance. I just consider it another perk of a nerve disease and don't worry about it. Mine doesn't get worse, it just happens once in awhile.

You know, my Dad used to complain of this very thing. He'd even tell me that he'd be lying in bed and his legs would just jump and flail around all by themselves.
' He was mostly using his scooter at this time and rarely walked except to transfer. We just assumed it was from lack of use of the muscles. This, among lots of other sx he had with no explanation have convinced me that he had MS but was just undiagnosed. There's just too many similarities for it to be a coincidence. I hope you get some relief. |
It sounds like it could be Restless Leg Syndrome which is apparently not MS related, but has a surprising high incidence in people with MS.
Has your doctor mentioned RLS? |
F2U,
I get that when I have a relapse. My MS Neuro I had in the way early days said it was "Myoclonic Jerks". I rarely get them anymore, but you feel that quick shot of pain and then the leg shoots upward, I noticed this only in the recliner or in bed. Maybe once or twice and that's it per day with relapse. Is that what you mean? This may help to read. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myoclonus |

With a diagnosis of MS, that sounds like a more logical suggestion. |

I'm not sure why they can say it's not MS related... |
