Nucynta
Hi all,
My daughter was just prescribed Nucynta...Has anyone had any results with this med?? Also, her PM put her on 4 different anti oxidents and vitamins. She said she has had some really great results with other CRPS patients finding pain relief. If you would like me to post the vitamins and the web page, let me know and I will be happy to! :hug:Sandy |
yes
I would like to know the vitamins and antioxidants she suggested!

I have not heard of that med but would be interested in the vitamins. I saw a holistic doc who worked with them a little. Also my current pain doc had me take vitamin c. Thanks and hope your daughter is feeling better

So here is the list that she gave me...the web site is through the doctors office and you have to be a patient of the doctor to order through this company...
the list is as follows: Lipoic Acid Coenzyme Q10 Multivitamin with B3, B12, B6 Comples Turmenic Omega 3 and 6 She told me to take the dose that is on the bottle. I haven't ordered them yet, as they are a little expensive for all, so I need to wait for payday! I will let you know how she does after a while. :hug:Sandy Also, make sure that you check with your doctor before taking any of these, sometimes they may interfere with the meds that you are taking. So Please contact your doctor before mixing these supplements with your other meds. Love you all Quote:

vitamins
Do you have a Costco or BJs- They are MUCH cheaper there!!

I take all those vitamins and antioxidants plus a few more. They are widely available at health food stores so you don't have to go to expensive proprietary products from a website. It is important is that you get good quality products and that you follow your doctors recommended dosages. They are very good for the nerves and inflammation.
All my doctors know what I take and we always take this into consideration when we change my meds. I haven't heard of the Nucynta, do you know what that is supposed to do? Good luck with them. MsL |
Hi Sandy
Walmart and Target can also be great for vitamins - watch for their 2 for 1 deals. I was surprised the last time I re-stocked my vitamin supply on how much I spent!! Ouch... I have been taking 2000-3000 mg Fish Oil, B-12, Selenium, 1200 mg Calcium, 1000 mg Vitamin C and a Women's multi-vitamin for about a year and a half. I'm really hoping that my bones are OK, I haven't had a bone scan since all this started. I take my vitamins when I've eaten because I've heard that they are better absorbed that way. The best of luck to you and Lindsay with the new regimen!! Think positive! XOXOX Sandy Quote:

Tapentadol marketed as Nucynta
Hi Sandy,
I just looked up this drug and realized that it has been on my watch list under the name of Tapentadol. Apparently it is a very clean drug as it is cleared by the kidneys. It is a dual action, centrally acting analgesic. The IR formulation had been approved by the FDA in 2008 for acute pain. There has been an ongoing Phase 3 clinical trial for the ER formulation for use with various pains so I'm pleased to see it's been passed and now on the market. I hope your daughter finds good results with it. MsL |
Msl,
Thank you for the information, it seems to help her for a few hours, but then her pain is returning. I think it will take a little while for it to get into her system to show if it is really going to help her. thanks again, Sandy Quote:
