Well since you all have great cats and dogs....we have 8 tortoises. Todd is allergic to fur bearing animals so we have the crazy bunch.

We were most impressed a few years back, in South Dakota, when we visited some giant tortoises :).

My SIL also says a tortoise makes a great pet. She's had hers for as long as she can remember :).

Wow, they're absolutely beautiful!

I had the pleasure of meeting Harriet the tortoise at Australia Zoo before her death last year. She was absolutely adorable. She lived to be (approx.) 176 years old and she loved eating hibiscus flowers. :)
