Two different annies, two different surgeries HELP

I have two intracranial annies (smaller but due to various factors will take care of it) and one in my cave sinus. The cave sinus is causing major eye pain and light sensitivity, which seems to affect my vision. it's symptomatic. The other two are not. It is affecting my life.

The doctor wants to operate on the two intracranial ones first via clipping- the asymptomatic ones. Then he wants to wait two more months to take care of the larger symptomatic one that is causing me grief. That one will be taking care of by the less invasive coiling.

His reasoning with doing the intracranial has something to do with blood thinners. To me, since the coil method seems less invasive and requires less recovery time, that can be taken care of first.

I can't stand this eye pain. the thought of waiting two more months after the other more awful surgery is just strange.
Help me understand

Hi lostmykeys, welcome to NeuroTalk! I can understand your confusion and frustration at not getting the symptomatic aneurysm taken care of first, but your neurosurgeon is right. With coiling, you have to be on aspirin for awhile after surgery to keep the blood thinned, yet you cannot be on blood thinners for the clipping, as this could prove fatal. So even though it would seem to make more sense to fix the annie that was causing you pain, for your own safety, it would be best to get the clipping done first.
Is there anything that the doctor can give you for the pain in the meantime? Does anything help relieve it like heat or icepacks?
Have you got a date yet for your clipping surgery?

Hugs,

Nat xx
