Home Again!

Hi All,

I have missed this community so much since the original BT crashed in July. I never realized how much I had come to depend on a wonderful group of strangers until I lost them!

Thanks to Snoopy for letting me know this site exists.

I'm anxious to connect with those of you on Tysabri. I have been approved since August, done my MRI, and am just waiting for my infusion center to get it's act together and start scheduling. It probably won't be until October.

It is great to be back! Hope you all survived the miserable summer heat!

Hi... My DH is in the same boat you are in... approved, off Avonex, had the MRI, and he too is waiting for both the infusion center AND insurance stuff to all get worked out. He is on Medicaid, which will cover 80%, and Biogen told him they have other options if his private insurance (BC/BS) doesn't cover the rest. We can't get a straight answer of what it *might* cost us out of pocket, but he told them that if someone doesn't cover it, he will have to back out and go back on Avonex. He is anxious to start, and is right this minute at the doctor to hopefully get a start date.

He probably won't update much, but I'm all over these boards, and pop in here once in a while to keep up on the latest info too...so if you are willing to share info...I know I'll be posting stuff...if for nothing else than to help someone else who might be going through it too.

Welcome back MS Mommy! It's good to see another familiar name. All the best with the Tysabri.
