Reflux induced asthma?

Just wondering if anyone else has had problems with muscle not working to hold my stomach shut, so I have been choking in my sleep. I think some must have went in lungs, couldn't get my breath the other night. Finally went to dr. two days later, after she got me different heartburn pills and mucinex. She said I had developed reflux induced asthma. She said it probably is from lesion on the nerve that controls that muscle in your stomach. I now have a steroid inhaler, still wheezing bad!
She says it may be something that might continue:(.
Still no word from neuro-radiologist at John Hopkins for 2nd opinion.
