How to use this subforum:
 

Peripheral Neuropathy is very complex. It is difficult to find answers or effective treatments from doctors. Some doctors won't even try to find your cause, and subsequently they label the patient as "idiopathic".

Over the years some of us with this baffling, painful condition have done work on the net to find our own answers.

So over the 4 years NeuroTalk has been active, we have had many discussions, found many helpful resources, and have favorite external aids that work etc.

Putting all this information into a format so it can be more easily found, is our challenge now. So we are trying this Subforum idea.

I would ask members here to post only to the topic of a given thread, so the information stays in one place.
For example, on the shoes and socks thread, let's keep ideas, and types of comments only about shoes and socks...and not about drugs, or testing results.

The search function on each forum is for finding things. But when I searched "shoes" today, I found 316 posts scattered over 4 years of pages. By having one thread on the topic I hope we will be able to find the discussions more easily and be able to profit from their content. New members seem to be lost and don't "search" often and therefore become frustrated.

So please keep to the topic of each thread when posting.

The main forum is open to any comments, and social conversations, vents about frustration regarding treatments, and doctors, questions about anything really. If a new poster has a question whose answer is on the Subforum, any member can then direct them to it. (if the forum gets long with many Topic threads, then a search of IT will be necessary).

PN is very complex. There are over 100 causes, and similarly many different approaches. There is no perfect way to make it easier to find answers here, but I hope this Subforum does accomplish that.
