complaint about husband

Hi,

Hubby called me from a cellphone store to tell me that he bought me a new phone. I told him to come home now.
He walked in the door with a crappy phone.
He said it is just like an iPhone. HELLO!
NO phone is just like an iPhone!!

Six months ago he bought a car for me (the old one was 12 years old and had probs) he bought a car for me while I was sleeping. When I woke up he asked me to go pick it up with him.

This is different.
I don't care one way or another about cars.
But I was considering getting a smart phone that is compatible with my iMac computer.

He went back to the cell phone place twice to return it, so he was in there three times.
I have my old phone back.
It is a junky phone but I know how to use it.
I was not going to learn to use a new piece of junk phone.

Mari

I don't blame you at all. I am so glad he listened to you and finally
took it back.

Wow! A husband to complain about! Never had one of those! I do NOT like change in electronics. Call me old fashioned but i still refuse to upgrade from Windows XP Office Pro. And those new phones just look like to much work for me. No thank you!

Glad you got your phone back, too

Dear Mari

phones are very personal. if cars are personal, then phones are intimate! :D

if someone tried to "replace" my phone from under me i'd be upset too.

glad you got your old one back. good luck with the iPhone shopping if and when you decide to go for that.

Dear KimberlyFish, Thanks for the laugh!
Dear Barbara and Donna,

I am aware that he was trying to do something nice for me.

He could have saved himself some time by checking with me in the first place. Altogether he was at the store three times today and it was a busy day for him even without all that.
And he does not even use his phone.

-->> My sis has a theory that husbands like gadgets -- they like to buy shiny new toys but don't think of them as things to use.

Dear Waves,

The new iPhone comes out mid-summer so I am waiting.
I think with an iPhone he might remember to carry it with him more often -- instead of leaving it at home or leaving it locked away in the gym locker when I want to call him.

My old phone is really too difficult to use except for emergencies -- and certainly not for texting.

My cell phone doesn't like to work right. But at least most of
the time its okay.

I just work through the problems it gives me.

i am afraid to respond...my reaction is anger so matter how good the intentions are...but i know i have been angry a lot....i think he must block a lot...when you get a new phone anyways don't you have to be there to have all the intricacies explained to you ten times at least....it must be very hard to be married especially to somebody who is very kind and sometimes is totally clueless as to how you function

Mari, sometimes we have things that our mates will upset us with. I think for the most part your hubby is a pretty good one. And because we care for them so much it really gets our goat when we do get upset with them. How are you with the situation now? I remember getting so upset with my ex for stuff like this thing you describe so I do understand.

Barbara
