Thyroid Supplements

I might have some sort of weird thyoid/thyroiditis issue. I seem to have enough T4, but not enough T3. I might have some sort of auto-immune situation occuring. One doctor has called it Wilson's Syndrome, but this dx is somewhat unusual and controversial. I am going to go for other opinions. I have weight gain, problems getting too cold, big reactions to sugar that look like insulin resistance and on and off fatigue.

I am thinking of creating my own formula for my condition...products that are thought to help. Products that perhaps more commonly are taken for hypo-thyrodism.

Anyone take any of the following products and what were your results....
Rhodiola Rosea, Ashwaganda (sp?), Guggul or L-Tyrosine?

Thank you.

I have hypothyroidism... I take Levothyroxine .5 mg - originally my thyroid level was a 5 but after starting the medicine about a year ago now... it's down to a 1.2 !!

Awesome!
The deal is I have enought T4, not enough T3.
The thought is I might need different medication than what is typically taken.
I am also trying supplementation.

I have not enough t3 and just started on a small dose of cytomel which is t3.
i also take my synthroid with it, which is t4.

One doc was going to give me Cytomel.
I ended up going to another doc and she had it compounded for me.
Started taking it recently...I have much more hope now!
:)
