blast from the past

happy 30th anniversary Pacman :highfive:

if you go to www.google.com you can play for a day too:D

mrsD 05-22-2010 01:00 AM

yes, I tried it too... fun. Just my speed too! LOL

Took me a while to figure out the arrow keys tho. That is how sharp I am these days!

I used to like Frogger and Centipede too! When my son was little and liking Chucky Cheese, I'd do the big game of Centipede there while he did the kiddie stuff.

When the Google thing activated, I had a screen open, and all of a sudden the music came on, and I couldn't figure where it was coming from! I had a bit of a paranoid moment with that!

For only 3 games ....

Err I was going to post Old Pac-O-Matic in here
until I realized, he isn't on my old FTP space anymore!
It was cutie pie ...

Meanwhile, I shall go to the "bad corner" of of embarrassment
and with a box of Godiva chocolates for punishment ...

On the other hand ... that will cost you 25 cents please!
:D

Would you believe I still have Frogger? :o

I never saw Centipede, but Frogger is saved somewhere amongst my games. :D

I still have Asteriods, Centipede, Frogger,
Space Invaders, Pong (The first of all videos),
Super Breakout, Temptest, Missile Command,
Pac Man, Ms. Pac Man (the later version),
Donkey Kong, Super Mario Bros III already
installed on this Win 7 (and they hailed from
Win 95/98) and the original Microsoft Side-
winder does still work on this Windows 7.

:D

The only game I do not have that is not
Ninetendo or Atari - is Testrili and Majohngg
and PinBall Wizard - which comes from Hasbro.

While I used to transfer / share files to others
until "Vista" came along - it is now impossible
for me to transfer any of these old favorites
via email or via the FTP Server; I have been
mailing them after ripping them on the disc.

One of the funniest story is when I had sent one
disc ... it ended up with the husband who complained
computers were "waste of time and money"
until
he heard that all too familiar noise of Asteroids;
then as soon as his wife departed to go "Potty"...
he took over and would not let her have her
computer back. She wrote to me to tell me, all he
did was kept saying "Hon, grab me a beer, will ya?
I'll be done in a min..." And it went on for hours,
yet, she never complained --- for once she enjoyed
having the big screen television remote in her hands
for a change! The nicest evening she had ever had
which lasted nearly until about 2-3 AM, for she had
no idea how long the excitement would last before
she would lose reigns over the television remote. He
got bored after one night and decided that the games
on television were better.

Thanks for this Thread!

Oh, yes.... I remember Space Invaders too. I love the shoot em up type. Discharges alot of anger and aggression, I think. LOL
