Disability coverage while in a nursing home

Hello,
-I am the "emergency contact" for my aunt who has recently been placed in a nursing home and was wondering if I need to inform Social Security of her living arrangements, down the road?

SSA should know the correct mailing address for your aunt's mail. Who is paying for the nursing home? Is she paying out of pocket, is Medicare still covering, or is she on Medicaid? If she is on SSI, her living arrangement absolutely need to be reported. How long is she expected to stay in the nursing home? Does she have rent to pay outside to maintain her home?
