Mrs D, and Rose PLEASE?

Just got back from a foot doc...x-ray, possible fracture...Not detected yet...but?

OK the issue is: Have been on the absolute cusp of osteo-porosis& penia for the last 8+ years. Now am post-meno-off hrt's and on aromatase inhibitors. Am on Keppra and receive IVIG monthly...

Doc says bone loss in the extremities is truly severe...as in adding a couple of decades to age-norm. I've been taking Fosamax [fer all the pros/cons] and calcium supplements... Somehow, I don't think merely doubling the calcium caps I seem to be 'inhaling' is going to do the trick now...Any advice as to the bestest sources and quantities of which what's I should take? Cannot have the B-6 as I'm over the limit w/my reg vits on that...Since changing calciium tabs to those w/o extra b-6, some aspects of nuropathy are improved? I seem to be getting extra gray hairs at the whole prospect! I really would like to keep the 'pepper' part in the S&P!

I didn't even FALL! That's the bummer part!

Thank you all, lovely people! - j

Well...

There are other osteoporosis interventions.

One is called Miacalcin nasal spray.

Also is using higher Vit D therapy. You need to have some blood work done
to see if that would benefit you.

Also, B12 is necessary for bones, and EFAs...What exactly are you taking
now? How much B12 do you take? Have you had that measured?

With all the hoohaa about biphosphonates and bone necrosis, coming out (and frank ineffectiveness--Actonel in Britain) I'd seriously switch to the Miacalcin
and see if that works better.

Mrs D...thats what...

has been lurking in the back of my mind for more than a while....to have feet 10-20 years my senior [Hey! I'm mentally a Peter Pan!] is well, more than daunting.

I do NOT and absolutely REFUSE to be OLD before my TIME! Or, even Older than....

Try as we might, those toxic-combos of meds...that no one seems to care to track but US... is taking a true, inevitable and nasty toll. That tho, gets us into the realm of all the 'non-reported' s/e's that are floating out there...AN aspect that is scaring me, maybe needlessly, but a valid fear nonetheless.

Well, life goes on however?!

Thanks Mrs D and pain free moments [in hopeful heaps] to you?!!!! - j

Miacalcin MrsD

Does that work at all like the bisphosphates or is it different?
