I won...no need for second hearing

My SSD case was won by OTR (on the record Decision). I called the Hearing office to see if a court date had been scheduled. I was told the judge found me Favorable on 5/13/10, The lady told me the date she sent the Favorable letter to me, but I was crying and I don't remember what she said.
The lady almost started crying too.

The judge approved me from July 2006, this is when I first applied, I can't believe it. I'm soo happy

Thanks everyone!

I recieved Fully Favorable letter today, it's official now and I feel alot better. Will I get a call from my local Soc. Sec. office to tell me to come in, I already had set up direct deposit when I first applied,

Will I recieve a notice of my benefits soon? how long doees that normally take?

Thanks!

Congratulations I too just received a fully favorable decision. I was denied twice then hired Allsup for the ALJ hearing phase but received a letter the judge awarded without the need for the hearing on. I applied on 1/1/09 but awarded fully favorable back to 8/4/08 when I stopped working. I am so excited as well. We can both finally exhale.

Hi SM,

Congrads on your approval !

SSDI doesn't routinely call to notify you of benefits and others here have not had much luck calling the local office to see when the checks will arrive.

You should have your checks and benefits letter within 1 to 3 months.

I've read that you should get the benefits letter first, then your first monthly check, then the backpay. I got my backpay first, before I even knew what to expect.

As frustrating as I know it is to wait, it will only be a little while longer......

Congrats! I got my letter of approval about 2 & 1/2 weeks ago. I called and they said about 30 days. A weight has been lifted off my shoulders to say the least.
Take care!
