Chilli Pepper Cream

Has anyone used chilli pepper cream for small fibre PN, my pain management specialist recommended it, I have only used a few times and it works for a short time - does it need a few weeks to work ?
Anything is worth a go...........................

Many of us cannot tolerate the pepper derived creams for pain.

The burning is too much for me at least.

But yes, it takes daily use for a week or 2 before serious improvements (if they are going to occur) arrive.

Hi,
I have heard of this type of creme, but was to scared to try it. I have a combination of PN and RSD. Actually, Dr Schwartzman was the one who wanted me to try it but I said no. I think he approached me at the bad time. It was after a ketamine booster for the RSD and I was really sick.

I would like to hear some more about this type of creme. He stated "it burns like hell".

Thanks so much and everyone have a great Memorial Day Weekend. :)

The concept is that the pepper based cremes burning,
offsets the nerves that are mis-firing and eventually nullifies the original pain.
Kinda like using 'white' noise to cancel out loud noises or disturbing background noises, but on the nerves.
Some have found it useful.

I have to go in the other direction for burning
because the pepper based cremes burn me terribly.
I'm quite sensitive to them, and I have to
use menthol based cremes such as
'Bio-freeze'. 'Super Blue Stuff', 'Icy Hot', etc.
I do so, every a.m. and sometimes in the p.m. and if
I can't sleep , or am awakened by burning pain-I apply it during the night, too. I usually use the Rite-Aid generic for 'Icy Hot'
