Hi, just checking in (long)

I know it's been a long while since I was here and I'm sure I missed so much. But mostly I missed everyone and all the goings on here. So what's new?

I can't believe i've been back in OH for nearly 3 years. Yes, I still miss CO. I am doing my best and fighing hard to stay healthy as I can. In Jan 2009, I started using my sister's WiiFit program. When I started I couldn't do even 5 minutes of anything. I have lost nearly 25 lbs and have regained strength and am feeling so much better.

In April 2009 I had a seizure with no warning and ended up in hospital for 3 days. Since it wasn't witnessed and went through lots of tests. And I scared my father when he came into the kitchen finding me unconscious on the floor. Last month I had shoulder surgery to repair a tear and lost cartlidge I received after dislocating my shoulder when I fell. I started PT last Friday and look forward to getting back to health and to exercise.

In March, my youngest sister donated a kidney to our oldest nephew (25) in Iowa. Both have had subsequent surgeries and hospitalizations due to complications. And my nephew is still fighting, it's looking like the kidney disease is attacking his new kidney. Eventhough, it was one of the biggest and healthiest kidney the hospital had ever seen.

That's pretty much it, with the MS my sensory sx have been getting worse especially in my hands (right still worse). I am still searching for a med to calm my sx, and working with a pain mgmt doc to find something.

I'm looking forward to catching up and participating again.

Good news about your gaining some strength thru exercise.....and losing weight too. :) You'll have to check into the "keep it moving" thread.

Beth, glad you posted. You've had quite a challenging time!! I hope that you continue to recover from your seizures/fall. I need to get on the WiiFit too. Great that you lost weight! It's so good for our bodies.
So sorry to hear your nephew's body is attacking his new kidney...hope things improve for him.

Good to see you back again! Don't be such a stranger. Glad the WiiFit's been working well. Hope your nephew & sister see some major improvements soon, and you too!
