in work today i had the day [yet another] from hell
sureal is not the word...... interview assessments x2 the first a 17 year old savage with no remorse and a criminal record as long as my arm. the 2nd a 16 year old ,,,withdrawn reluctant to answer any question in any way other tghan yes no.....but after gentle pressure to release his inner thoughts.............BANG.............HE tells me he has witnessed his father abusing a under age girl with learning disabilities... i explained sensitively his disclosure could not end with me and that i would have to contact the police. he reluctantly agreed..they took him away after taking a statement. i know i did the right thing but that poor boy now has to deal with the fall out/....[he is not living with his father he is with an Aunt ..who he also told two weeks ago but has obviouslynot reported it along with a teacher he told AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH GOD IM SO MADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD Then during this young mans unfolding nightmare im told a collegue of ours whom i worked with for two years has taken their life i could not write a book with so much emotional turmoil in an eight hour period...it would be deemed to unrealistic...............but its all FACT David |

What an awful day - I'm sorry. Trying to help someone else can be so painful. Then to hear the awful news of a friend's suicide. You need to do something extra nice for yourself right now. No good deed goes unpunished - unfortunately. I'm thinking of you. Barbo

David...I'm sorry I wasn't around when you needed to chat. You did do the right thing but than you already know that in your heart.
I can't imagine a worse day.....:( And the "fall out" just goes on and on! :( |
What a horrible day David, and I'm so sorry that I wasn't around to chat with you.
It was early morning for me when you reached out. I'd just got up and hadn't yet turned on my computer but if you ever feel like the need to chat again, try posting in the Sleepless at SOS thread. The only reason I say that thread is because I get an email whenever that thread is activated, so if I'm at my computer I'll know, and will be able to reply. Other SOS members also use that thread and maybe some get notification as well, but no matter where you post or what thread you use, please know that we're all here for you, even if not instantly. I hope your night is better than your day. Thinking of you. |
David,
I'm sorry you had such a rotten day.... |
