Curious
Well, here I am again...just curious, as I know there are many of us out here, who have been down this road, unfortunately. I'm going for my first 6 month check-up, cerebral angiogram, in 2 weeks...I'm slightly worried. My aneursym was very large, 15 by 15, it was unruptured and coiled. What should I expect?
I'm scared to have it done, scared not to, ugh!! I've been through so much already, I'm afraid if I don't go, and there's something still wrong, and if I do go and there's something wrong...ugh, again!! Feeling anxious...any help out here would be much appreciated...love you all...Laurie |

There are problems with coils, it sometimes needs to be repeated, and the coils sometimes migrate. It is more likely though that the angiogram will show that you are just fine and the lesion has clotted. |
Notice you are from Saint Louis. I'm not too far away on the other side of the river. Did you have your coiling performed at Barnes by chance?

Do they give you something for anxiety while this is being done? I hope. Thanks for your reply, I love reading them, just knowing I'm not alone in this helps sooo much!!! |

I know how you feel...my first follow-up MRI/MRA following my bypass and coiling in late Aprl and early May, respectively, is 7/26, and I am very nervous! You are in my thoughts, but I am sure that everything will be fine! Please let me know how you are!
