Looking for a good SSDI attorney.
Hi friends!
I just received my rejection letter from Social Security. I knew they would deny me on the first try and now I need a good attorney to help me appeal. I live in MD, and I'm not sure if I need someone from here, or if it even matters. I see ads on television ALL day long for the giant firms. I'm not sure if I should go that route or if I should get a smaller group who would hopefully treat me like an individual instead of being just one of the herd. My w/c case is getting close to the hearings. They have completely dropped my coverage and said that I can now work 4 hours per day. I cannot use my arms or legs, sit, stand, bend, squat, etc. I must also let my potential employer know that I am on strong narcotics, cannot drive on occasion and I will fail the drug test. Oh, plus when I am in a flare, I cannot get out of bed for days and the epidurals I receive bi-weekly render my legs paralyzed for a day or two....But, besides all that, I would make a great candidate for your company!!! Oh, and I need a personal bathroom close for when my meds make me sick and I need to vomit! Pick me! Pick me! I know many of my good friends here have already been through this maze. I would appreciate any help or hints for how to proceed without being taken advantage of. Thanks to all! Kim |
I've read some good things about Allsup http://www.allsup.com/ all coming from NeuroTalk. There could be some desenters. My wife is in the middle of her SSDI case so no success with her lawyer yet, however I'll pm you her website, her practice is just outside of Washington DC.
