Looking for Memory Stick....
...for a Sony Cyber-shot Model #: DSC-S75. I've tried to find someplace on the internet to buy this, but am having no luck. The one I have is only a 32 MB and only stored around 20 pictures. I like to have one that has a LOT more MB.
Thanks if you have any idea! :) |
On the Sony site it looks like the most you can get is 128MB for that camera.
here's the chart page and more info. http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/sup...=12&mdl=DSCS75 and it sounds like this is needed also- *4 = A dedicated adapter (MSAC-M2) must be attached to use Memory Stick Duo™ or MagicGate Memory Stick Duo media. I don't know if it would be cost effective to buy more memory sticks and an adapter for this camera - might be cheaper to find a new camera on sale. |
Thanks so much. You are always so helpful. I have looked over the situation and will hold off. I'd say you are right. It seems everytime I turn around something else is needing replaced! :( I appreciate your help though! :)

Additional assistance and info (plus for other Sony Cyber Shot Fans)
Cyber Shot DSC-S75 Manual & Chart W/PDF FILE
Read the MANUALCHART plus Infor firs... and find out what the maximum Memory you can use before you proceed. I have a Memory Duo-Stick and can take up to 950 photos as more memory had been added to it and is the maximum for mine. However, if you take movies (if yours does have that option), remember, it will eat up memory as well as draining out the battery. I do not recommend purchasing anything outside of Sony to use in Sony; for I have had friends who had done that and it wrecked their Sony Cyber Shot Cameras (including batteries). I always stick with Sony, the brand name. It is true Kingston and others are good - but they are good for things such as Bluetooth, iPAD, Cell phones, iPAQ (yes that is spelled right, I own an iPAQ E, which is Microsoft), et al... just not for cameras or cam-corders or any time of cameras or video equipment. It is not fully understood why, but I am perceiving that there are compatibility issues here - as I saw that on my friend's new Sony and it came up with an error until she had to wait for her Sony Battery to charge up. Keep in mind, keep an eye on the battery, once it is close to 1/4th down, STOP! Do not drain the battery down completely. For me, if it hits below 1/2 down, I recharge it. Of note - for other Cyber Shot Sony Owners, especially those who own older ones, like I had given my son and his wife, you are unable to upgrade memory, and they run on regular batteries and not Sony Batteries. I strongly discourage people who have old models from using rechargeable batteries now on the old Sony Cyber Shots, for the life span of the batteries are now excessively short. If you are starting to now begin to get distorted or blurry images (especially around the edges) ... NOW is the time to get rid of it and sell it cheap on eBay or somewhere, and buy a newer Cyber Shot with more MP and features, and include all accessories with that Cyber Shot if you have it. For it will NOT work on the new Cyber Shot at all - for all Cyber Shots have just about their own "equipment" aka accessories. As if one had not spent enough money already. |
