RSD Walk and Dr. Rhodes

Hi- I went to the RSD walk today in Central Park. It was a great day and I got to talk to Jim Broach for a bit. I met a woman who told me how dr, Rhodes save her life. Her RSD had gotten so bad- had gone into her lungs and she thought she was going to dye. She went to Dr Rhodes and she is now walking without assist and her lungs are better. Old posts I read about Dr Rhodes were not so good but wondering if there have been any updates?

Thanks for any info

I was looking for you Gabbycakes!!

After trying meds, several types of blocks, pain pump, SCS, PT, OT, aquatics, tens unit, many meds, chiropractor, etc. I read about Dr. Rhodes & called him. He personally called me back & talked to me for almost an hour about his treatments. First thing he does is run a few simple tests, then he hooks you up to the Dynatron STS machine. He designed this machine himself. He uses it himself bc he fell off a horse & got RSD (now in remission). Dr. Rhodes weans you off of almost every med. You go to his clinic & he runs the machine on you in the daytime. Then, you buy the machine (about $3,000 and most insurance companies dont cover machine. Some patients that are really bad like me, go to his office 7 days a week. Before you go to bed, you run the machine on yourself & sometimes run a 3rd treatment in the afternoon. He uses this machine to treat a countless number of conditions. I used to have to take 3 allergy meds a day or I would have severe allergic reactions. One of the first things I noticed was that I did not have to take them anymore. I had tried not taking them before with no success. About 2 years since I have run the machine, I still am cured of my food allergies. I havent hooked up the machine in about 2 years. Most patients can just call from home & he will try some different settings over the phone & that works. The machine has 8 electrodes that get hooked up to mainly your hands & feet. I had some sensitivity problems from the electrodes being stuck on me, most patients did not. On days they couldnt put electrodes on me, he made me sit in a room with a machine called a magnotrometer. It put out a magnetic field in the room, which helps a little. Dr. Rhodes told me I was the most difficult patient he had ever had to treat. It was very frustrating as I watched most of his RSD patients go home in about 2 weeks symptom free. My first trip to Corpus Christi, TX, I stayed about 3 months & had pretty good results when I went home. It only lasted about a week though, that is with still using his machine at home twice a day. So, a few months later, I went back to TX and stayed about 2 1/2 months. By this time, my RSD had progressed & spread, so I had very little results & just went home. I was off all my pain meds though(at least temporarily). Like I said, most of his patients were in and out in no time with excellent results, I was the weirdo that didnt get the great results. My beat frequency could not stay the same long enough for me go get results. The beat frequency is just the different ways the machine runs energy through you. For most patients, this process in completely painless. But, as I said, I experienced pain from it. I saw patients from all over the world there. Most were there for either RSD or diabetes. But, there were patients with things such as MS, Parkinsons, & all kinda stuff. Like I said before, most of his patients experience quick & lasting results from whatever they are suffering from. At first alot of people think that its like a tens unit......completely different. It distributes electricity throughout your entire body & makes your body produce more oxygen, which helps alot of different illnesses in a round about way. I have even used the machine to get rid of the common cold with success. His staff is great, and Dr. Rhodes has them use it one themselves if they get sick. He also uses it on himself & his family. It is very confusing how the machine works. But, even though it doesnt work for me, I have seen it do amazing things for many people. He is working on designing a new machine that will automatically customize the beat frequency every few days, which is what I need in order for it to work. So, as soon as the new machine is out, off to TX I go. I stay in a hotel with my mom when I go there. Dr. Rhodes is the smartest person I have ever met in my life. He saves peoples' lives every day when all the other doctors have given up on these patients. He makes you take precautions with RSD that most would never have even thought of. He is against anything invasive, such as blocks, PT, meds, SCS, even things like not taking the patients BP at all unless needed. And if needed, it has to be on the patients good limb, even if that means taking a BP from your foot. My pain mgmt. doc read his website & was lost...he had no idea what Dr. Rhodes was talking about...he is that smart. There are some neat videos on YouTube. Type in either Dr. Donald Rhodes or Dynatron STS. The website for his practice is www.paindefeat.com I would very highly recommend Dr. Rhodes. He understands that most people dont have the money required to come see him, but he will try everything he can to get peoples insurance to cover it, as well as renting machines to patients, & doing payment plans. He just want to make people better, especially children & he will work you in as soon as you can get there....whether that be tomorrow or next year. I STRONGLY URGE PEOPLE TO GIVE DR. RHODES A CHANCE...he may just give you your life back!!!! Let me know if anyone has any questions, but please watch the YouTube videos first & read his website so you will understand what I am talking about.
