Test results

Okay, here are my test results that I can not understand at all, but I dont think anything is positive?!

Immunoglobulin A, 174, Range 70-400
deamidated Gliadin, IgA 3.2 Range 0.0-10.0
Deamidated Gliadin, IgG 1.3 Range 0.0-10.0
t-Transglutaminase IgA <1 Range 0-3
t-Transglutaminase IgG <1 Range 0-5

I dont understand why both my children have been diagnosed with celiac disease. They were both tested for Endomysial ABS, IGA, only though. My mother has it too. I am hypothyroid, anemic and have elevated liver enzymes. I am the type of person that needs proof if I have something to change it. I have thought about joining my children with a gluten free diet but it is hard for me to follow.

Some patients only have the EMA test positive.
Maybe you are one of them.

Maybe your results are below the cutoff level with the tests you listed.

You see, they actually set the cutoff quite high so they get NO, absolutely no, false positive result, like a positive test and a slightly negative biopsy result. They want to always have positive biopsies whenever a celiac test is positive.

Still, 20% of biopsy proven celiacs get negative blood tests.

If you are symptomatic enough, maybe get the biopsy done? Pill cam?
