New to forums

Hi there.

I have had RSD since June 07 following a knee surgery. Entire right leg. Went thru PT and it was in 'remission' or whatever, until a few weeks ago. Now it is hurting like CRAZY and cycling through a bunch of different types of pain. I'd never had the 'fire' feeling until a few days ago. Guess it's time to go back to my docs... i've been reading the forums forever but decided to join today. Thank you all.

Hi and I am glad you decided to join. Everyone has been really helpful and supportive I have met on here. Sorry that the RSD is returning. I had it when I was in high school and it finally went into remission in 99 but now in 2007 and new injury brought it back full force worse than I ever felt. Hope you get to feeling some better I know the pain is horrible. Good Luck with all and glad you joined.

Hi welcome to the boards though sorry for your pain. I agre to get into the doctors asap. Can you see a connection of the pain and burning increase or out of the blue? Hope you get some relief soon.

Hello, welcome I am kind of new here too, I don't think you can find a better bunch of people to help to talk to. I have had RSD since 1986 and I am still finding new info. from this forum. I think the people on these boards may sometimes know more than the Dr.s do as we are suffering the same pain that the Dr.s have not felt. Ask questions, and ask more and make sure you are knowlegable(sp) as you can be to make sure the Dr. knows what you are talking about.Welcome again and I'm sure you will be hearing from alot of people from here, someone usually has some kind of answer to any kind of questions

I have a question. I live in NJ so the CHOP program with Dr. Sherry looks like something I'd want to do. Once I talk to my Dr, how do I go abuot 'getting in' to that program? Is it an application?

If you call the program they should be able to tell you what you would need to enter the program. Some need a physcian referal and to see records. When I went to CC program they did meet with me before to see if I was a candidate for the program and if they felt they could help me.
