question

Ladies- have you notice your mg getting worse with menstration? anything to do to help this? anyway of getting around this?

I noticed this before I was on meds. Now that I am on meds it is not as noticeable. I am on Mestinon and Imuran. Take care ~ Melanie :)

It may be that it has always been like this since you first developed (but didn't know that you had) MG. You just weren't paying as much attention and/or making the connection to the "little" things before you had a name for your illness. From what I have read, it is quite common for this to happen in women who haven't yet gone through menopause - I guess the hormones place an additional stress on our systems....

Yes, it does make MG symptoms worse.

I try to rest more during this time, drink plenty water and eat good food - these things help. It has taken me over of year of having MG to realize that this is the time when I have to take care of myself or I crash hard and end up not able to do anything but rest.

I too have noticed I feel much worse when I am having my period. I am like Desert and rest alot more, drink alot of water and try to avoid salt and eat more fruits and vegetables.

Good topic. Yes. Mostly on the first day or two. I get in a tired or extra tired state where even Mestinon doesn't seem to help so much. Though I am not actually diagnosed with MG, I think I have it.
