Shut up Thelma

Well I guess I have been told to shut up. Must be because i swore or called the moderator a name or something or could it be this is really not a free speech area.

Can one peson say enough talk on that subject and close it without a reason given except it is getting too long for the sysop to read.

Jeez talk about thinking for us they are anticipating what each other will think even.

Shades of grey here as well.

Damn I thought the "doc" was getting it going and this would be a sensible reasonable outlet for those who suffer from neurological diseases and conditions as well as a mental and depression forum.

Oh well guess I will gol home now and see what is on for supper.

Hope it is kraft dinner as that is as basic as it comes.

Thought I could get a steak dinner here but I guess when the chef is away the staff can play.

I got a million of them if that is all you want...........................

it "aint" nice to tell yourself shut up...didnt you know that? A nice firm "that'a girl" should suffice.

Be kind to yourself. Your too hard.:o

Dear Thelma
did someone actually tell you to shut up or did you just perceive that?

Your opinion is as valid and valued as anyone else's here so I do hope that you wont feel in any way that is isnt so.

I honestly dont believe that other thread about the mods was locked for reasons other than that it was stated by Ellie on the thread about locked threads (phew getting tongue tied there!:o )

Perhaps we should rahter just allow KimmyDawn to explain her reason for locking it, instead of people making assumptions about the whys and wherefores. And also wait for DocJohn to comment when he returns. (Hope you are feeling better DocJohn!:) )

I know we all still are finding our way in a new environment but I honestly believe that DocJohn and KimmyDawn want this place to be a safe haven, yet with lots of freedom too.

You are a very valued member of BT and also now here Thelma so please dont let possible wrong perceptions stop you from participating here.

Thelma,

No one told you to shut up. The post was closed because the dead horse was beaten and to give Doc John the opportunity to review it before posting the final Terms of Service.

You made a lot of valid points in that thread. However, you also made a lot of not so nice statments as well. Some of them did border on potentially offensive. However, no one is censoring you. What you have to say is important and is being listened to.

thelma thelma thelma

you can come hang out with me i guess,,,lol

Thelma 09-21-2006 04:17 PM

Oh Bobby Bobby Bobby
Where in the world can we go to find understanding.

What is deemed "offensive" to me is name calling eg profanity directed at one who is named

I am only one human being and this site is not really at this time my cup of
tea. Needs too much sugar to run. Sugar is not the fuel of the soul.

Put that picture back up as it was directed to me and I saw the humour and had a good laugh although the one with his lips sewn shut was a bit too harsh. i have a good imagination so I could feel the pain he must have suffered through at the hands of his detractors.

Detractors thats a good word eh

I know you aren't one and I hope I am not either but then it takes soul searchilng to determine that.

I don't believe in the soul theory

So maybe these detractors are a figment of my growing senile brain

Anyway back to my tea and biscuits at least they sustain me

Sustain now that's a good word too eh what

Can you sustain a post

Can you sustain a life

Can you sustain a desire to keep on fighting these warsl

Wow Bobby

The big question

Can you sustain desire ???????????????????????????????????/

DocJohn 09-21-2006 04:22 PM

Thelma, I'd like to apologize for the fact that we started assigning moderators to forums before we posted the community guidelines so people knew what to expect of this place.

As you can probably tell, we can take a lot of "feedback" here. While I don't mind the calling out or the negativity, it's probably best done in a constructive manner.

Thanks,
John
