Maybe this book? One of the reviewers gave it 5 stars. I don't have personal experience with it. amazon.com/Mysterious-Illness-Myasthenia-Gravis-Hazel-Smart/dp/1425924107/

Sadly I think most friends & family won't take the time to read a book. Not if they aren't used to reading non-fiction books fairly regularly. So an article might be better, sometimes they are too lazy for that even.

there is actually a pretty good, and short guide to families and friends on the MGFA web-site.

you can modify it for your own needs.

I liked this book, The Mystery Guest MG: A Personal Plan for Dealing With a Chronic Illness
I found it very informative and I had my husband read it.

I also liked the Hazel Smart book mentioned. above. Another good one is: Attacking Myasthenia Gravis by Dr. Ronald E. Henderson

You, Me and Myasthenia Gravis. By: Deborah Cavel-Greant. Now in it's 3rd edition.

A good reference to keep on hand for yourself too. I've had MG for 12 years, and you would think I know everything to know about it, yet I still refer to the book.
