Just started on Imuran
 

Anyone have any experience with Imuran?

Both my neuro and my gastro support its use for me, as I seem to be a walking example of auto-immune dysfunction. I think my body is even attacking my hair follicles sometimes!

The hope is that the Imuran will back my body's immune system off a bit and allow the inflammation to subside, at least slowing the progress if not arresting it. I would be curious if others have used immune-suppressing meds and what the experience was.

hi lefthanded, I was on Imuran several years ago, before the other meds came out, I had to have blood drawn, I think every month, for something to do with the T-cells, it also caused flu like symptoms, which is why I got off it, after several months
I took Avones for about 3 months, very bad side effects for me, finally 5years ago I started on LDN 3 mg. and now up to 4.5 mg. and I am doing
well. I am in the SPMS stage. Since starting LDN I have had no more attacks, I do have symptoms but I have learned to live with that. I hope this helps.
