Calcium, heart disease & RSD

Has everyone seen this article re: calcium possibly causing an increase in heart attacks?

I find it rather concerning as I'm currently taking a prescription calcium/vitamin D supplement twice weekly. My vitamin D levels have been chronically low for quite some time now, and the calcium is due to the bone loss associated with RSD, combined with the fact that I've taken many courses of steroids in the past due to asthma.

I'll definitely be bringing this up at my next doctor's appointment. I don't want bone loss, but I don't want heart issues either. Ugh!

Me either & I have been taking 1800mgs of calcium with Vit D for over 2 yrs now due to Osteopenia per my PC's advice.

Geeze wish I seen this before yesterday when I saw my PC. I go for a bone scan a week from Monday to see if the calcium has rectified the Osteopenia.
