Pulsing tingling and pain

Does anyone else get pulsing tingling and pain in their feet? I got no sleep last night, and the numbness, tingling, and pain were pulsing . . . like very rhythmic and weird. It reminded me of watching those deep sea creatures that emit the pulsing luminescence from their bodies to the tips of their appendages. I half expected to start shooting sparks any minute. . . .

I am in my third week and up to full dose of Imuran.

Occasionally...I always worry that my blood vessels are crapping out...

That is not an unusual SX of MS, LH. As a matter of fact, nothing is..:D

Have you tried stretching before sleep? I hope you feel better soon.

Oh yeah, sounds like very familiar symptoms to me -- the old pulsing, burning, swelling, tingling, pain, etc., etc., etc., in the feet. Does the Imuran have any side effects that would cause them? I'm not familiar at all with it. What is it actually supposed to do? Good luck...:)

I have severely burning and numb feet from neuropathy. Does not usually pulse. I don't know which of my diseases it comes from, but I didn't have it until I got Polycythemia Vera, which is too high platelets and red cells. Sometimes I have to put the feet on ice if it is bad. I use Badger Balm on the toes, which helps a little. Most important is to get enough aspirin to thin the blood and make the thick blood go through the vessels, but it is not a cure for this, there is no cure. It causes neuropathy. My numb feet are one reason I fell down stairs and broke a leg.

I can't take aspirin by mouth. I grind it and mix with a good thick cream and rub into my skin. I can't say if thinning the blood will help MS. For thinning other things that help are E Complex, garlic, and green tea.

Even before the PV came along, I had somewhat numb and clumsy feet, but they did not burn or tingle much. I've had the PV dx about 5 years. Older dx's are MS and Porphyria

Judy, Imuran is an immune suppressant, originally used as a kidney-transplant anti-rejection drug. My neuro (an well-heeled MS specialist) felt it fit my tendency toward inflammation, as I also suffer Crohn's and other inflammatory diseases.

SallyC, I have been doing some tai chi and yoga inspired stretching each night. I put on some nice music with a good rhythm and have incorporated what my physical therapist has recommended into my routine. I just seem to be regressing instead of improving.

These sensations certainly point out that the life forces in our bodies are electrical, though, don't you think?!
