The Dizzy Doctor, Chicago
Does anyone have any experience with "The Dizzy Doctor"? The ENT I saw is confident that even if I do have SCD (which he openly doubts, but he will look at my CT scans) he's pretty sure there's no one in NZ who has ever done surgery on it.
My theory/concern/fear is that I've damaged my ear in a way that no one in NZ will be able to diagnose. At what point should I send my records to Chicago and arrange a phone consultation with that guy? Or is there another long-distance expert I should consider? Thanks... |

I've referenced his dizziness-and balance-website, it helped me figure out that my problems are not just from my brain but in my ear. I am working with an excellent doctor at UC Irvine in Southern California (LA area). He is an inner ear expert, really knows his stuff and is very nice and caring to boot, I recommend him without hesitation. His name is Dr. Hamid Djalilian. You can find info about him online. There is another doctor (Dr. Lustig) at UC San Francisco that has experience with SCD, he trained with the doc who first figured it out. I don't have any experience with him personally. Hope this is helpful.
