OK, this used to be the most active forum of them all. Where is everyone?

Hiya Mama........thanks to Teresa and Clouds for sending me this link, first time I got messaged from anyone from braintalk for ages, so nice for them to send me the link.........I've clicked on braintalk once a week for ages now, a huge amount of down time, thought it was extinct, nice to see it back.......

How are you mama?.........married life for me is great, gradually sorting out the house, its been a great summer here, so nice to be out of London and enjoying life in this little market town, ahhhh bliss:)

Finally I was able to get on this site! Good to see you. As of today's message from J. Lester, Braintalk appears to be out of service until early September at least.

I am busy getting ready for school, which starts here on Sept. 5. I also had oral surgery on Wednesday. He had to remove a couple pieces of jawbone and I am still in pain and have been crabby and not fit to talk to!

I got to see a neuro at a Centre for Movement Disorders in Toronto. Finally someone who would listen to me. He feels with my blood work and Jen inheriting these problems that Isaac's Syndrome is most likely, but he did a whack of blood work, too. He is trying me on Tegretol. I am not crazy about that idea, but I have to do something. Really, it is getting so I have very little enjoyment of life and after months of only dozing a few hours a night, I am exhausted. He wants to see me again in 8 weeks and finally said that my GP's & and a shrink's diagnosis of Generalized Anxiety Disorder is a crock!

Glad to hear married life is treating you well Claudia.
Good to see you again Gillian.
Hope you are well, Kathy. Write me an e-mail when you get a chance, okay?!

Hey Shirl.....yikes, that oral surgery doesn't look like a picnic, I hope it all goes well......I'm really pleased you are seeing a specialist, hopefully the proper diagnosis is forth coming for both you and your daughter......hugs

Hi Claud! I was hoping that you would find your way here.

Stumps - so good to hear from you.

Shirl, I will email you. So sorry about the pain, but am encouraged that someone is taking you seriously.

Looks like I have a sorta dx for my original problem - the same thing that the folks in the movie, "Awakening" had. Brain damage on left side with dopamine receptor damage, so it is a type of Parkinsonism.

The new stuff is just a literal pain. Probably just need to give it time to get all of my meanness out.

Love to all,
Mama

Hi, folks!
I stop by the NeuroMuscular forum occasionally... usually when my legs begin twitching at night and keeping me awake.

That said, since I'm checking in and saying "Hello," that means that my legs must have been twitchin' again... and they have. Mostly the muscles on the back of my right thigh... for no apparent reason, they'll start their happy dance, and annoy the bejeezus outta me. I've been advised that drinking pickle juice can help alleviate this, but I've consumed enough juice from emptied-out jars of pickles to float a cabin cruiser, eliciting looks of pure disgust from my family, but those twitchin' muscles keep on twitchin'...

Ah, well, I guess it's better than having an incurable case of hiccups...
